Installing PPR (Polypropylene Random Copolymer) pipes through fusion welding involves several steps to ensure a secure and leak-free connection. Here's a step-by-step guide:

1. Preparation: Gather all the necessary tools and materials, including PPR pipes, fusion welding machine, welding inserts, cutter, reamer, and marker. Ensure the work area is clean and free from any obstructions.

2. Measure and Cut: Measure the length of pipe needed for the installation and mark it with a marker. Use a cutter specifically designed for PPR pipes to make a clean and straight cut at the marked location. Ensure the cut is perpendicular to the pipe axis to facilitate a proper fusion weld.

3. Prepare Pipe Ends: Use a reamer to remove any burrs or rough edges from the cut ends of the pipe. This ensures a smooth surface for fusion welding and prevents potential leaks.

4. Prepare Fusion Welding Machine: Set up the fusion welding machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. Adjust the temperature and heating time settings based on the diameter of the PPR pipes being welded.

5. Heat Fusion: Insert the heating element of the fusion welding machine into the end of one of the PPR pipes to be joined. Allow the heating element to heat the pipe evenly for the specified heating time, ensuring that the entire welding surface reaches the correct temperature for fusion.

6. Welding Inserts: While the pipe is being heated, insert the welding inserts into the ends of the other PPR pipe to be joined. The inserts help to maintain proper alignment and spacing between the pipes during fusion welding.

7. Joining Pipes: Once the heating time is complete, carefully remove the heating element from the first pipe and quickly bring it into contact with the welding inserts in the second pipe. Ensure proper alignment and apply gentle pressure to fuse the two pipe ends together.

8. Cooling Time: Hold the pipes firmly in place while the fused joint cools and solidifies. Avoid any movement or disturbance during this cooling period to prevent weakening of the joint.

9. Repeat Steps: Repeat the process for each additional joint required in the installation, ensuring proper alignment and fusion of the PPR pipes.

10. Testing: Once all joints are completed, pressure test the entire piping system to ensure there are no leaks. This can be done using water or air pressure, depending on the specific application.
